Final rule issued by the president’s administration to comply with a 2018 Supreme Court decision.
On Thursday, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service finalized new critical habitat designation regulations required by a unanimous 2018 Supreme Court decision concerning legal certainty under the Endangered Species Act. The final rule aims to provide the public with greater understanding of the process for conserving endangered and threatened species.
“After a transparent public input process involving stakeholders and other interested parties, the Service is pleased to finalize these regulations, which align with the Trump Administration and Interior Secretary Bernhardt’s priorities,” said Fish and Wildlife Service Director Aurelia Skipwith. “In addition to improving consistency and predictability for stakeholders, these regulations will stimulate more effective conservation on the ground.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the Interior Department would succeed in recovering more endangered species.
- For the Fish and Wildlife Service as habitats for endangered species are preserved.
- For the president’s administration as issues facing the nation are addressed.
